Shipshewana Campground North Park Rules & Regulations

Road Area Regulations

  • Speed limit is 10 MPH throughout the park; driving should be limited. ​

  • No bicycles after dark.

  • Motorized vehicles like ATVs, dirt bikes, go-carts are prohibited.

  • Use flashlights at night for safety.

 

Registration and Guest Policies

  • All campers must register at the office; campsite registration must be displayed. ​

  • Valid car passes are required and must be visible; non-registered vehicles will be towed. ​

  • Guests must register at the office; guest passes can be purchased in advance.

  • All registered vehicles must be parked in designated areas. ​

 

Site Area Rules

  • Maximum of 4 persons per site; additional guests must register. ​

  • One RV and one tow vehicle per site; extra vehicles need registration and parking in designated areas. ​

  • Use only designated fire pits; fires are prohibited in pines or near cabins. ​

  • Trash must be tied in bags and disposed of properly.

  • Clotheslines are not allowed; picnic tables must stay in place.

  • Keep noise low; quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM. ​

  • No parking on grass; water waste must be disposed of properly. ​

  • No trenching or digging; check-out is at 12 PM, check-in at 1 PM. ​

  • No washing vehicles without permission; RV detailing requires prior approval. ​

 

Cabin Regulations

  • Smoking is prohibited inside cabins. ​

  • Fires are not allowed in or near cabins or pine trees. ​

  • No cooking inside or on cabin porches. ​

  • Pets are not permitted in cabins. ​

  • Car passes must be displayed; cabin contents are inventoried daily.

  • Damage or theft may result in charges; shoplifting and vandalism are prosecutable.

  • Check-in is at 1 PM; check-out at 10 AM (Mon-Sat), 3 PM check-in on Sundays.

  • No smoking, cooking, or pets allowed in cabins. ​

 

Pets Policy

  • Pets cannot be on other campers’ sites; must be leashed in designated areas. ​

  • Pet droppings must be cleaned up. ​

  • Pets must be quiet, not left unattended, and not permitted in buildings or cabins. ​

  • No leashes tied to trees, shrubs, or water hydrants.

 

Facilities and General Rules

  • Parents are responsible for children; supervise restroom use. ​

  • Restrooms are for registered guests and personal hygiene only. ​

  • No dish or laundry washing; limit shower time. ​

  • No drug use or public intoxication; alcohol only at campsites or cabins. ​

  • Weapons including firearms, BB guns, bows, and arrows are prohibited. ​

  • Damage to property or wildlife results in eviction and charges.

  • Smoking is banned in all public areas.

  • Violations may lead to eviction from the park.

 

Amish Log Cabin Lodging

  • Handcrafted Amish cabins with full beds, bunk beds, furniture, and amenities. ​

  • Equipped with A/C, heating, private bath, Wi-Fi, and a front porch swing.

  • Located near attractions in LaGrange County, close to I-80/90. ​

  • Advance payment required; cancellations are refundable if made 10 days prior, with fees.

  • No smoking, cooking, or pets allowed in cabins. ​

  • Restrooms and shower facilities nearby. ​
